Lake Oswego, OR, October 9, 2015 — The Lightspeed Aviation Foundation will announce on Friday, October 16, 2015, the top five aviation charities as chosen through online voting to share grants of $2,000 - $10,000. The remaining finalists will each receive a Lightspeed headset.

The live announcement of the 2015 Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Pilots Choice Awards winners is scheduled for 10:30am (PDT) on October 16 in the Flying Magazine Lounge of the main exhibit hall at the FLYING Aviation Expo presented by Sheyden, in Palm Springs, California. Award finalists and expo visitors are encouraged to attend this exciting, live event to celebrate with the recipients.

The pilot community can still vote for their favorite aviation charity online until midnight (PDT) October 15, 2015. The greatest number of votes will determine the 2015 Pilots Choice Grant winners among these twelve finalists:

  • Civil Air Patrol
  • Experience Aviation
  • JAARS
  • Miracle Flights for Kids
  • Mission Aviation Fellowship
  • Missionary Flights International
  • NTM Aviation
  • The Ninety-Nines
  • Patient AirLift Services
  • Patriots Jet Team Foundation
  • Pilots N Paws
